Update and stuff

Hi there everyone, it's been a bit since my last update, sorry about that...

I'm gonna write some short bursts of comments with my pictures.... A little random...

Work has been busy, and I've been pretty busy during the weekends too!

A good friend of mine, Alex invited me to check out a band he had joined up with, He was awesome!! I hadn't seen him for so long! When he saw me in the crowd he was like.... Oh Hey B*(Insert bad word) !

I love him....

Of course, we had a little after party and got a little pickled after.... Still minding you I had very little money.... I'm proud to say, I only spent $30 the whole night!

But I hadn't just been busy with friends... Busy with work too!!

One part of the working culture here in japan is basically getting smashed with your co-workers... And eating great food!

I got together after classes with the other teachers and ate a pretty nice meal... My total was under $12 .... I think the boss paid for most of the meal...

Speaking of the boss, I received a hand full of really awesome cherries from Yamagata (The cherries from there seem to be expensive)

Now for the final picture.... And one of the big reason I havent been posting.. I had been a little down besides going out.... To be honest.... I have been really hurting for money. I'm not like dying or anything just I have had to be rather careful with money.... When I go out, I'll order one beer and just have it in hand... And such... That sorta going out....

But ... The biggest pains of it are over.... At least for the time. Over the last few months I found myself with a lot less money then expected..... doesn't help when the yen is at 73Yen per dollar...

But anyways, a family member had given me a short term loan... To deal with my big problem at the university... The university was a lot more expensive then planned... This problem plus government being slower then two slugs going at it in a bowl of salt....

To summaries a very long story.... I almost got lost my job and got kicked out of Japan... Why?

Did I do something illegal ? ... Sadly No...

A mix up of funding, misunderstandings, relays, incompetent people, failing for understanding.... All added up to one thing....

Problems for me....

What ticks me off the most is the incompetent people.... Don't get me wrong.... There are lots of really smart people and great people..... But the few that aren't have really messed things up for me....
Now... I am willing to understand that these people are just overworked ... Which is a big possibly ...

Explained... Because of some paperwork which I was told not to fill out by the university.... Was actually required by the Japanese government.... I now had to pay the price of trusting them...

An actual cost figure it is 15,000 Yen x 24 month of not filling out the paper work... 360,000 Yen......

One staff member says... Oh wait! But that's Japanese taxes, you must pay it... You would had to pay it anyways!
-- Again, wrong. As a university student, the 15,000 yen is zeroed because... I'm a university student.. But I can't apply for it after the fact that I was..... It's like a parting gift.... I had say that for the most part I really enjoyed my time at the university... Some very nice people and great teachers.... Just not all the staff...

I am out 360,000 because of the school... I know 3 other people with the same problem...

Anyways,,, rant finish... Because of this... I haven't paid rent, electricity, water, cellphone, gas.... No even once since I have moved in to my new apartment... Till today..

I finally paid off the school.... And with the left over money, I paid two months rent, gas, water, electricity.. The works... I am left with zero but at least I can keep my apartment....

The person managing the housing here was very very understanding.... Much more then she should have been... I didn't pay rent for 3 months....

I'll have to make her some cookies or something ....

Some receipts .. Paid off

Just a last note of the staff members ..... (Just not all the staff) I this because my favorite person from the school is actually the book store lady that looks like she is part Okinawain ... Dark skin, curly hair.... I she lent me an open ear and always had a great big smile....

Just a normal person, and born in Togane... I got to know her well... met
two of her sons and some of her friends.... One of her friend gave a few kgs of rice from his farm!! People the Togane are great!

Anyways.... Going to sleep....
