I got the Job and Slow day

Hi there everyone!

First big news is that I got the job!  Well.. Actually I got 4 jobs.  Despite my lack of experience in Teaching or experience in English for that matter, I have been getting offer after offer.

I have one offer from an Elementary school, two from two Middle schools and one from a High school.

Decisions Decisions!   I am currently leaning towards a Middle school with in Chiba Prefecture but a little out of the city.. about 1 hour away from Chiba and 1 hour away from the Tokyo area...

On that note, have already started to find a new place to live... Although I have next to zero cash and I am still waiting for some very over due funds from Student Loans, I should be able to complete the move.... Some how...

I have a feeling that it is going to be much like the last move.   Dollar store everything.

I have moved apartments in Japan a few times now and I've gotten use to the pattern but I though I would try something a little different this time...  Just out of curiosity I called up an apartment service specializing in serving foreigners.  I called them up and a nice Japan man answered the phone in English.  I gave him my contact information, where I was planning to move and my price range. Then 30 min later I got a call back from a English speaking Korean man.  ( Mr.Kim )

I met Mr.Kim at the station and he toured me around to a number of nice places.... Most of them a little pricy but he did show me one that only cost ¥26,000 per month!  (About $315CDN) !!   Although it was a little out of the way and would take me a considerable amount of time to get to work.

Waiting to meet Mr.Kim
Looking at Apartments

Now that most of my job hunting has come to an end and school is basically done (Besides a volunteer project ),  Life has slow down to a craw...  And I have taken a few good walks around the city... I have live in Chiba for almost a year but I really haven't tour around....  I'm going to miss living here....
Today is sunny!

Currently sitting in the coffee shop where I competed most of my thesis, I know most of the workers here and they know me.... Besides I just order a coffee or two and sit for hours with my computer open....  And because I have really hairy arms..

I actually have free time to write my blog!!!

Anyways ...  My stress level has dropped to almost zero and I'm trying to eat healthier now that I have the time to actually make a salad.

Changing things aroun

Hello there!

Sorry for those that keep checking my blog for new postings....  I've been rather busy with school and job hunting.

As I haven't posted for a while, I'll try to sum up everything in a few lines

-  Earthquake... That was a mess
-  Sudden trip back to Canada... in relation to ^
-  Entrance Ceremony for new students
-  Lack of Student at school
-  And on a good note... Nice warm weather.

I'll hopefully be posting a few of these in the next few days.

Oh yes.. I did write a very large and detail posting about the Earthquake with pictures... Then my iPhone blogging App crashed and I lost everything...  I'll try to summarize it in my next post.

But for the time being for those that are wondering..

1. I'm still in Japan
2. I have food
3. I still only have 2 eyes and no unusual grows of any kind because of the radiation.

Anywho..

Till tomorrow.

Just another day...

Hello there!  Well, it's been 5 month since I left Canada.  Life here in Japan has been fun, lots of people to meet and lots to do (eat) .
I would have to say that I've been doing a lot more doing of the (edible variety ). I'll still loss a bit of wight too.

Anywho... My room has also changed a bit.  Besides the hanging clothes, I have added some carpets because of my intense hate for vinyl flooring..  It's what... 32c and I gotta lay on plastic?   Ehwww....

Guitar and selfs full of books that I swear I almost never use....  If you look close you can see my flowers right under my drying jeans...

My Homemade Bob Marley Poster!!!    And lots of food stuffs on the table.

Well thats it..

Hey everyone, sorry to worry everyone.  I haven't written anything for a while..

I would first off like to thank everyone for all the donations!  I was sort of half joking about the donations thing, but surprisingly I had a lot of support!!  I was also a little surprised of the people that were reading my blog...

I would like to thank everyone that made a donation to me... I'm currently buying food with that money..

ATT: People that donated money, please look out for a letter from Japan.

And yes Alex, I did buy Udon... It was really good.

I've been really really busy..
  • I've started school.
  • I met a bunch of really nice international students and we went drinking under a Sakura Tree .
  • I went to visit Hideo again.
  • Cass is really really busy.
  • And no.. I don't have a connection to the internet yet... So expect all my e-mail and blog posts to be really really late.  Don't even think about twitter..

Time to Tighten the Belt

Hi everyone!!!

It's been a few days since I moved into my apartment and I've bought a bunch of stuff.

  • Futon ( Thin Japanese Mattress )
  • Food.... Haven't bought any rice yet... that's next on my list....
  • Personal Hygiene Stuff ( Soap, Shampoo, Toothpaste, etc)
  • A whack of Daiso ( Dollar Store) stuff like ( Facecloth, Towels, Cutlery, etc)

After buying all this stuff.... I started to realizes...  I really don't have that much money....
I emptied my wallet and all my pocket's and I was left with this....

¥8,072 = $ 88.44 Cdn
Dam.
The money you see here is basically all the money I have...

I still have a couple of weeks till I received any student loan money..... Besides of all the costs of having to get this far, I also had to pay for a semesters worth of tuition....

So!  With this being know!  I have started an online donation!!  I accepted all major credit cards  ^__^
I've also put a handy link on the right side too, for your donating conveniences.

And when donating... Please.. Think of the children...

Which is me..  I'm the child.  ^___^

NOTE TO MOM :  Hi Mom,  Although I don't have that much money, I'm doing great!  Please disregard this post completely.  I only have a week till my student loan kicks in and I'll be able to buy  food,  stuff I don't need, stuff I do need,   stuff that I would like but aren't essential to my daily life.
Over all Mom, please don't worry.
